Hey guys! Happy Valentine’s day! So, for today’s blog post I thought I might do something a little different and might just win you some extra brownie points this Valentine’s day. Intrigued? You should be, because I will be sharing my very own recipe on a very decadent yet still healthy valentine’s day chocolate treats! Just in time for Valentine’s day!
Not in the mood for reading? No, worries. Just go to my Youtube channel Greenish Zero Waste Living and follow with me while i make this delicious treat!
Let’s get started…
- 100 g Dark Chocolate (Basically one slab)
- 80 ml – 100 ml Coconut milk or Almond milk or dairy up to you.
- 1 tbsp Peanut Butter
- 1 cup Oats / Granola / fresh berries/ almonds here you can go bonkers.
First start by breaking the dark chocolate into pieces in a microwave safe mixing bowl. Add 80 ml – 90 ml of the coconut milk to the dark chocolate and microwave until the chocolate is melted. Take note to check your mixture so that it does not burn. You can add more milk if you feel your mixture needs more. Once your chocolate is melted, you should have this nice velvety, creamy chocolate mix. Mix the peanut butter gently with the chocolate until thoroughly mixed. Add the oats in batches, starting with ½ cup and then adding as you go. Mix thoroughly until everything is mixed.
Take a small scoop of your mixture in your hand and roll into little balls. Once you are done rolling your treats, put them in the refrigerator for 20 minutes and serve. You can also make chocolate logs instead of chocolate balls if you prefer. Just place your mixture in a flat pan and refrigerate for 20 minutes and cut them into logs.
That’s it! Easy peasy.
